A free, public resource fair and film even will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. May 15 at Key Project in Kāneʻohe. It will be followed by the film Beekeeper from 6:30 to 8:15pm. Participants in the fair can learn skills such as how to recognize, avoid and report potential fraud and scams. The event is sponsored by nonprofit Hawaiian Community Assets, which recently launched Project Makaʻala, a community initiative featuring a series of kūpuna fraud and scam awareness events.
